Qualifications for listing a used trade show display on consignment
In efforts to deliver our buyers the highest quality pre-owned inventories available on the market and provide our sellers with the best opportunity to sell their used displays, we have implemented a quick pre-approval process for all displays being submitted to us for consignment sale on our site. Our ultimate goal is to provide our buyers with the most current, desirable and usable selection of quality exhibits to select from. In most cases the approval process will be quick and easy. However in some rare cases we deny a request to list a display in our pre-owned marketplace. For further clarification we have correlated a general list of guidelines below that may result in a posting denial.
- Incomplete or partial Exhibits.
- Exhibits with excessive missing parts, excessive damage or that are in unusable condition.
- Exhibits posted with no photos or other imagery (designs, renderings, cad drawings, etc.)
- Poor quality photos or imagery.
- Pop Up display frames only or Pop Ups with unusable customized graphic mural panels.
- Inventories of truss, inventories of extrusion, and inventories of other exhibit building materials that are not part of a larger complete exhibit.
- Individual exhibit accessories such as counters, lights, hanging signs, shipping cases, flooring, etc., that are not part of a complete exhibit.
- Exhibits built prior to the year 2000.
- Exhibits whose asking price is less $1,000.00.
- Exhibits that are being donated /given away.
- Exhibits listed on other sites for less asking price.
- Exhibits whose asking price far exceeds or is far below a reasonable fair market value.
- Exhibits whose asking price is greater than a similar exhibit can be built new.
- Exhibits listed as “lost leaders” or “Bait and Switch”. (exhibits that do not presently exit)
- Non-payment for prior consignment ads or previous breach of contract offense.
- Poor Communication; past untimely follow up to buyer Inquiries or with ExhibitTrader.com.
- Unethical behavior.
In the case that your consignment ad is determined unacceptable for approval, you will be provided with the specific reason(s) your ad was denied and if applicable, any options you may have for approval. We are always here to help answer any questions you may have regarding the consignment process.
